Brandon Smith | Chief Executive
Brandon Smith is an Altadena native, social entrepreneur, environmental justice leader, and experienced wildland firefighter. He previously cofounded and led the Forestry and Fire Recruitment Program, where he expanded workforce training, employment, and career pathways for hundreds of people across California. After losing his family home in the Eaton Fire, Brandon returned his focus to community led recovery, wildfire resilience, and rebuilding a stronger Altadena. As Chief Executive of WAFSC, he leads organizational strategy, operations, partnerships, workforce development, and the West Altadena Community Disaster Recovery Initiative.
Anthony Turner | Chief Program Officer
Anthony Turner is a community focused program leader committed to helping residents access practical support, training, and opportunities. As Chief Program Officer, he helps guide WAFSC programs from planning through implementation, ensuring that community priorities remain central to the work. Anthony works closely with residents, staff, trainees, and partner organizations to coordinate services, strengthen engagement, and support effective program delivery. His leadership helps connect WAFSC’s wildfire preparedness, community recovery, and workforce development efforts into a unified community response.
